Home Information Packs 

§    Before your property may be marketed for sale, a Home Information Pack (HIP) must be ordered*.

§    A HIP contains an Index, Sale Statement (which gives brief information about the property to be sold), an Energy Performance Certificate, Land Registry Title information, and the results of local authority and drainage searches. In the case of a leasehold property (flats and maisonettes), a copy of the lease must also be provided.

§    Once the HIP has been ordered, the property may be marketed. The ordering process can usually be completed within a few days.
