Edwin
David Charles Lord founded EDC Lord & Co
in 1919 in Southall, Middlesex. The firm flourished during the next 30
years and after the Second World War Edwin Lord decided to retire and
the firm was acquired by the practice of West and Langley (Bill West
and Jim Langley). The firm continued to be named EDC Lord & Co
and again flourished and developed in the later half of the 20th
Century acquiring a number of other practices in its pursuits of growth
and prosperity.
By the end of the last Century it had
developed into one of the largest groups of property lawyers in the
South East of England specialising in residential conveyancing and
commercial conveyancing but also providing a full service to clients
seeking advice in the areas of litigation, probate and trusts wills and general business law. The firm continues to grow
and provide “clear ethical
thinking” in whatever area of law we are
advising our clients on.
