About us

EDC Lord takes its name from our founder Edwin David Charles Lord who began his legal practice in 1919 operating from premises in Southall, Middlesex.

Over the next 30 years the firm flourished. After the Second World War, Edwin Lord decided to retire and the practice was acquired by Jim Langley and Bill West, but it continued to trade under the EDC Lord banner.

The firm continued to thrive under its new owners, expanding by opening new branches in and around West London, and acquiring a number of other established legal practices along the way.

From a one man beginning the firm now employs over 50 legal, administrative and support staff in offices in Uxbridge, and currently has 5 partners. We are proud of our heritage and the service we have provided to individuals and businesses over so many years. 

The 21st century brings with it new challenges and new opportunities. We at EDC Lord firmly believe that our track record of providing sound legal advice at proportionate cost and in the process acquiring many satisfied clients, who return to us time after time when our help is needed, will continue to be the foundation of our success.
